Grégoire Alexandre

Grégoire Alexandre was born in France.
After studying cinema at University Paris 1, he graduated from the Ecole Nationale de la Photographie d’Arles in 1995.
His practice is mainly based on commissions for which he questions limits and constraints, staging installations and scenographies that blend different levels of reality.
He works mostly in studio, where he explores illusionist mechanisms and formal possibilities in optical and conceptual games, with a tendency towards abstraction and shifts in meaning.
